Etiquette

    Pity that this page must exist, but every community has its expectations of behaviour, you understand. Here at the 'Quill, we only insist on a few agreements:

• Acceptance: Each of us has a love of poetry, and those who compose it are often delving into deeply personal feelings and experiences. Please be respectful of that when commenting, and keep your words friendly and constructive.
• Equality: Every contributor to this site, regardless of age, experience or style, is an equal, and will be treated as such. Please be mindful of that.
• Ownership: Every piece of work featured on this site is the property of its author. Please don't post any work that's not your own (unless it's a passage from a published piece, in which case proper attribution is a must). 
• Discretion: Poetry comes in many forms, some of which can be less safe for innocent ears, or work spaces. While we will not censor or reject your work, we do insist on putting a content rating in front of it, just as a courtesy. Also, if your work is risqué or vulgar, we'll still accept it, but it won't be featured on the home page, unfortunately.
• Promotion: If you have a website, or a link to your online store, we would be happy to link to it, assuming its content is relevant to ours. Just send us a message and let us know, and don't forget to link back to us!
